Radium ~ Perfect Internet Radio App Reviews

Hate the redesign

I absolutelly hate the redesign in terms of user experience. Or maybe you could enlighten me as to how to stop the playback? I remember having a simple play/stop button which is now, apparently, gone. And I’ll stop you right here - I’m not interested in keyboard shortcuts.

leave well alone

I hate this new user experience, when I click the radium icon I expect that a popover will appear not a new window. This is horrible. Please bring back previous behaviour!!!

Kills any sounds on my mac

Sound disappears in all applications. Sound disappears when in network exists AirPlay device (Apple TV). Switching between AirPlay and speakers does not help, helps only restart.

Icon

Make the settings to change to an alternative icon :)

Верните старую! -- Please return the Radium 2 icon! Its just perfect.

Fix the Limbik

Hi everyone from the Radium Team Please do smth with the Limbik Frequencies station - it doesnt work with your app! All seem well with my other favorites. Thanks in advance.

Great software, but ...

I’ve recently upgraded my old and loved Radium 2 to the new version. I like the new design but there are two things I’m really not happy with in this new update: - It’s not possible to see a title and an artist name of playing track anymore if you’ve turned off notifications and menubar display. It’s so unconvinient and annoying; - Meaningless icon. Finally, it’s a good software for internet radio listening but the user interface might be better.

Great app

Great app , thanks to the developers.

Doesn’t worth the price

Doesn’t worth the price: * No updates for stations URL. Some stations are dead. * Unpredictable interfaces updates which make app worse. * No feedback from application support I used it for 1 month, than abadon any attempts. I want my money back. Unfortunately I can’t give application back to its developer.

Breaking bad

Guys. I was using your app, because it was simple and worked. Now it is not working with premium subscripted radiostations. A complication is coming? Of what use are you are now? Get together!

Great Radio Application

Easy to use, very well integrated with the MAC user interface and very good support, if you have to add a station or any station stops working you can contact the support and youll get it back in few days.

great program made annoying

This used to be a wonderful menu bar radio program. Now it has a floating window that pops up at random to annoy you & which needs to be closed manually every time you change the station. Really annoying design decisions made without consideration of users. Not only that, the developer’s arrogant response to the situation is “just put your floating window under the menu bar”. But there’s a bug in the program where every time you quit and re-open, the floating window moves down a couple centimeters. So you need to move it back EVERY SINGLE TIME. Exasperating.

new “ui improvements” are garbage

I used to love this app but the latest update ruined it.

Services Not Working

I cannot add service such as xm or di radio with this version

Was a great program and then they changed it to be awful

Used to be an awesome app with a menu bar pulldown. Now it is it’s own separate window (why??) and very difficult to navigate.

boooo

was a nearly perfect little menubar app. now it’s a floating window with no play/pause button/indicator?

Moving to myTuner Radio until the menu bar comes back

The reason I selected Radium was the Menubar Only feature. The decision to remove it and move to the quirky window mode is like removing word processing from a word processor. The new pop up window is design step backwards. It offers nothing, and increases the number of clicks and frustration. So, now I guess I have to spend money on another radio program that runs in the menu bar, which means myTuner Radio. At least they have a free version to try.

Quite possibly the best ever….

Best customer service ever…i had an issue with a radio station URL being out of date in Radium, sent the information and voila! Within 10 hours it was repaired! Excellent interface (i do not understand the issues with the program as stated here, but i am new to this app), easy to add stations and search for additionals..i defy anyone to post a better app. Quality sound, equalizer AND IOS version too! Thanks CatPig!

Was better before. Menu bar only.

Add an option to get rid of the window. I’ve been waiting for an update, assuming they would actually listen to all of the reviews. I’m getting rid of the app until they listen.

I Wish It Worked Reliably

I’m not concerned with the UI change unlike so many seem to be. My issue with the app is about stability. I only listen to SiriusXM with Radium, and the stream stability is horrible at best. The streams (regardless of SiriusXM station) regularly drop out and take roughly 45 seconds to reconnect, and as of today (March 27, 2015), the streams also randomly skip ahead. I see on Twitter that others are experiencing similar dropouts with BBC Radio, so my take is that there is an issue with Radium. As a result, I can no longer reliably listen to SiriusXM in the office and I can no longer recommend Radium. I have communicated with support, but I find support to be slow to respond leaving me with no resolution after days of waiting for a response. Bottom line: look elsewhere for reliable streaming music.
